Some key information about the Church
When & where do church services happen?
Our Church has services every Sunday morning at 10.30am, in the afternoon at 3pm for our Asian Language service in Punjabi, Hindi & Urdu and at 6pm for our evening service.
We suggest you aim to arrive 10 minutes early to ensure you get a parking spot, enjoy a cup of tea and have a chance to meet everyone.
Services are at St John's Church, Church Avenue, Southall UB2 4DH and you find a map of our location on our contact page.
Car parking is limited onsite and is accessed through the entrance on Havelock Road. Disabled parking spaces are also available, please do look at our Church Site Map to see where everything is.
What should I expect when I visit a church service?
Before the Service
You will receive a very warm welcome from our Welcome Team who are there to help you and answer any questions.
Refreshments of tea, filter coffee and snacks are served before the service at the entrance of Church.
During the service
You are free to participate as much as feels comfortable for you and sit wherever you like. During the 1.5 hour service there is a mix of singing, a talk from the Bible and prayers. We often celebrate communion during the service as well(we share bread and wine/grape juice to remember the meal that Jesus shared with his friends the night before he died).
After the service
Prayer for anything is available from one of our Prayer Team in the Prayer Chapel.
Refreshments are served ranging from biscuits, cakes to samosas. There is plenty of time to meet new people.
What happens to the children and young people at a church service?
Toddlers & babies (0-3yrs)
Please don't worry if your child makes a noise in the service. If your child needs some space to play during the service we have a crèche area at the back of church with an audio link to the church - please supervise your child in the crèche.
We have a programme for children during the Morning Service. Everyone starts the service together in the church, and a leader will announce when the children go to their groups in the Parish Centre. You will need to go with your children and register them.
Young people (11-16yrs)
Children & Young people go their groups at the same time in the Morning Service but the young people go out to the Vicarage for their group.
Is there a dress code?
No! Please come dressed in your normal clothes.
What does the church do beyond Sundays and in the Community?
From feasts to homegroups, please see the Church Life section for a taste of what goes on at St John’s during the week.
For little angels through to senior citizens, we offer a variety of activities for the Southall community through the week. Please see the Southall Community section for more information.

Disabled toilet facilities
Disabled toilet facilities are available in the Parish Centre.
